North Shore Yarn Crawl

This weekend was the 2014 North Shore Yarn Crawl.  Bill and I got a slightly later start than we had planned, but successfully managed to make it to all 12 stores on Saturday with a little bit of time to spare.  The weather was nice, so it was a perfect day for venturing out and exploring.  I had a really great time, and I was very impressed with some of the stores (my favorites were A Loom With A View and Seed Stitch).  Other than my hippie vegan lunch suggestion where he had a bad beet juice /soggy wrap experience (made up for by ordering pizza for dinner!), I think Bill enjoyed the adventure as well.  I made a few purchases along the way...  However, considering the vast amounts of yarn I already have, this trip was more about checking out some new spots I had never visited before.  Here's what I ended up getting:

Noro Taiyo (yes, that is a Dunkin' Donuts table!).  This is actually the first Noro I have ever purchased, it was from A Loom with a View (in Newburyport) and was 50% off!

This dibadu is my favorite purchase.  I can't describe just how pretty all of the yarn from this German dyer was.  It was so hard to walk away with just one skein... Seed Stitch (in Salem) has more info on this important loveliness on their blog .

And last, some Frolicking Feet from Sit n Knit in Melrose.  I had picked this up in another shop and put it back down again.  Then I spotted it again in this shop for 20% off and figured it was a sign I should go for it.

I still have my fingers crossed that maybe I'm going to win one of the several door prizes I filled out tickets for...  Can't wait to do this again next year!
